TAPS Academy reduces the School to Prison Pipeline

Since 2012 when TAPS Academy in Houston, Texas (Beechnut Academy)was granted authority to award one high school credit to students completing the TAPS Academy curriculum 64 credits have been granted. Thus TAPS Academy not only reduces the social distance between teens and police it also redirects students away from the School to Prison Pipeline.
